The air cooled Robur GA-HR chiller is a standard Gas Fired
Absorption unit with an extra heat recovery system.
The Robur GA-HR unit supplies simultaneously both cold water
down to 3 °C, and hot water up to 80 °C.
The Robur GA-HR unit supplies chilled water and additionally
hot water for:
- sanitary use in hotels, restaurants, hospitals, leisure
centers, etc;
- for re-heating system inside the central air handling
units;
- all other uses where hot water up to 80 °C required.
The GA-HR unit allows to produce free hot water with a recovery
heat exchanger that do not need extra power. The heat recovery
system improves the overall unit cooling output, specially
with high ambient temperatures.
The GA-HR is Natural gas fired unit, which requires only
45 W of electrical supply to supply 1 kW of cooling water.
The GA-HR unit is designed for outdoor installation only,
thus it does not take up valuable indoor space or require
a boiler room.
How it works
The Robur GA-HR unit can be operated in cooling mode only
or both in cooling plus heat recovery mode.
- Cooling mode: the heat recovered from the chilled
water and the absorption cycle is rejected outside trough
the air cooled condenser/absorber coil.
- Cooling with heat recovered mode: the heat recovered
from the chilled water and the absorption cycle is partly
recovered by the absorber/condenser and partly rejected
by the outdoor coil.
This is the way Robur GA-HR unit can simultaneously supply
both the chilled water for air conditioning and hot water
for other purposes.
The unit can operate at any related ambient condition in
cooling mode even without running additional water in the
recovery heat system.

Key Advantages
- Hot water production is completely free as it utilizes
heat from the absorption cycle, which would otherwise be
rejected outside.
- A single gas fired unit for both air-conditioning and
hot water production!
- Thermal power always available: moreover the unit can
operate at any rated ambient condition in cooling mode also
without running additional water in the recovery heat system.
It means that the unit can correctly work in cooling mode
also without using heat recovery and it also means that
heat recovery power is available when it's necessary while
the unit is running.
- Reduce electric power consumption.
The Robur GA-HR gas fired unit draws only 0.045 electrical
kW to produce 1 kW of chilled water.
- It does not require indoor space.
The GA-HR chiller is designed for outdoor installations
only, thus no valuable internal space is required.
- Environmental awareness.
Low pollution emission and employment of natural refrigerant
fluids.
