100 kWp PV – Diesel Generator Hybrid Minigrid System

Leonics has designed and installed this system to generate the electricity which combines the energy from PV modules and diesel generator for Main Malaysian energy provider – Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). The system consists of 100 kWp PV modules, 60 kW Bidirectional Inverter and  100 kW Grid connected Inverter with the Hybrid System Controller, which is engineering design of  Leonics for extracting the power from PV modules for maximum efficient applications (Advanced Dynamic Energy) and the Remote Monitoring and Control.

The system has been installed and applied at Kapas Island, Terengganu state, Malaysia and it is known as the largest electricity generating system in Malaysia now. Moreover, Leonics also joins hand with TNBES, TNB’s subsidiary company, to develop the electricity generating system at Kapas Island to respond to the increasing of users’ energy demand in the future.
