Leonics has designed, installed and set up this PV battery charging system for demonstration and research on charging battery from central PV arrays. PV battery charging system generates DC power and delivers to solar charge controller to charge the battery. With charge controller included Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm, it helps to extract maximum available power from PV arrays and control battery charging with better efficiency. The different types of PV cell and module technologies; monocrystalline silicon PV module, polycrystalline silicon PV module, amorphous silicon PV module and hybrid silicon PV module, are tested the energy conversion efficiency of each type of solar module.

PV battery charging system has been installed and applied in Energy Park, School of Renewable Energy Technology, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok.
