Overview

The APOLLO SPN comes in three series. The plain SPN runs on PV alone (SPN-21610 to 21630, up to 1 to 3 kWp of PV driving a 1 to 3 HP pump). The SPN-AC switches over to mains automatically when sunlight is not strong enough to keep the pump turning (1 to 2 HP). The SPN-HY draws on mains and PV together so the pump runs continuously, and adds an automatic start-stop timer with up to 3.6 kWp of PV. All three suit a range of pumps — aquarium, submersible, centrifugal and axial flow — and support submersible installations down to 50 m.

Key Features

  • Three series — SPN on PV alone · SPN-AC switches to mains automatically when sun is short · SPN-HY runs on both at once
  • No battery and no fuel — the array connects straight to the pump
  • PWM combined with MPPT control · automatic PV voltage detection · adjustable voltage and frequency (5–65 Hz output)
  • Low starting current with high starting torque — the pump starts without an inrush
  • Pump dry-running protection · under and over voltage shutdown · over current protection
  • Works with aquarium, submersible, centrifugal and axial flow pumps · submersible depth to 50 m (60 m cable)
  • Float switch input on every series · the SPN-HY takes both float and flow switches, plus an automatic start-stop timer
  • 7-segment display for PV voltage, DC bus, motor current and frequency, temperature, time and error codes · IP54 enclosure, natural convection cooling
